Definiens Project comes to the G2 Gallery for a December 18th Holiday Concert

The G2 Gallery Presents a Free Concert Abbot Kinney on December 18

Venice, CA – On Friday, December 18, 2009, the G2 Gallery will present The Definiens Project for an evening of holiday chamber music.

The Definiens Project, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, is committed to building new, diverse chamber music audiences through the innovative presentation of chamber music and interactive family programs.

The Definiens Project is particularly committed to the presentation of new music by living and local composers. They have offered numerous composition competitions and commissioned many new chamber music works for performance. The concert will feature unique arrangements of familiar holiday tunes, performed by Definiens Project musicians and arranged by local composers.

The event begins at 6:00 p.m. with a reception followed by music beginning at 7:00 p.m. The concert is free and open to the public. Donations at the door are appreciated and will directly support environmental charities.

About The Definiens Project

In their seven-year history they have implemented new approaches to performance in a range of venues from the Jazz Bakery, the Culver Hotel, Club Tropical, local art galleries, private homes, churches, libraries and coffee houses. These performances have developed into regular concert series in multiple communities in Southern California, including Culver City, Long Beach, South Pasadena, and West L.A. They have attracted hundreds of people who had never previously attended a chamber or classical music performance; many of whom are now regular audience attendees.
